I do not know what came over me last Tuesday morning.

It's been two weeks since I have set an alarm for 5:30 AM - two hours before my usual waking time. Yes, tanghali ako magising. Kasi pwede naman, di ba? Pero noong hindi pa ako full-time virtual professional, 'yang 5:30 AM alis ko na ng bahay 'yan.

So anyway, after two weeks of hearing the alarm and turning it off, I just stood up, drank my meds (post-thyroid operation maintenance), prayed the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy, wore my walking clothes and started walking (!) at 6:00 AM.

Holy Mother of God.

Even I was surprised, balak kong i-treat ang sarili ko ng Samgyupsal.

Paano ko ginawa?

I wish I knew.

Siguro basta ginawa ko na lang.

But Mel Robbins, a TEDxSF speaker, taught me something. It's called

FORCING YOURSELF.

Ang sabi n'ya sa TEDx talk n'ya,

the odds of you and me being born is 1 in 400,000,000,000,000

. That is 400 trillion.

Ibig sabihin, you and I are so unique.

So why do we screw ourselves?
