“But I am learning that perfection isn't what matters.
In fact, it's the very thing that can destroy you if you let it.”
― Emily Giffin, author
One of the most popular pain in the ass problems for marketers, freelancers, business owners, social media managers, and content creators.
Is always being in a dilemma of perfection.
You see, we always think every detail must be perfect. Every color should match, no grammar errors, no blatant pitches.
And for the love of God…
Your words must not offend anyone. (Which seldom happens)
The result:
Nothing is done.
Think about it. If every detail should be perfect how come people with great imperfections conquered the world and become great?
Yes.
Take Oprah for example.
If Oprah did think what other people will say to her (because she’s black) and noticed her chubby flabby parts…did we ever think she’s going to be one of the most successful influencers today? No.
Another, Maymay Entrata (Pbb Winner, Award Winning Model, Blockbuster Superstar),
There are so many people criticizing this artist on the way she acts, performs, and even open her mouth while seeing an ice cream.
People (who think they are perfect) hates her.
They even on standby with the remote in their hand ready to turn off the TV when Maymay shows up.
Yet, she accomplished her dream to become a famous artist.
Why? Because instead of hating her imperfections and putting it in her closet…
She wears it proudly.
Because it’s her.
And that is one thing all the copycats don’t understand. Small thinkers will think of it as overacting. Perfection police will notice it as a liability.
But for the people who understand better…
It’s just being in the business of being YOU.
And I guess in my humble and biased opinion.
That is the most important, and that what separates you from the sea of copycats lurking and grandstanding in social media, beating their chest out.
Now, if you want to know more about how to vanish your false self and cure your perfection sickness.
You have the option to grab this humble book of Ann.
She teaches it somewhere on page 2 - 5.
Well…
As they say.
Say it like you mean it.
