The Magic of Company Curation
Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down. ― Oprah Winfrey
Being in social media could be rewarding or devastating. There are so many lurkers and bashers waiting for your next post.
These are the people who are always gunpoint at a ready to kill your enthusiasm and happiness. They are the people who wonder what’s your next move will be, what food is on your plate, or what're the latest clothes are you wearing.
Some are your competitors spying on your latest marketing tactics. They are the people who cannot think for themselves and waiting for someone to copy.
Well, social media is a tough sport. And it does require a thick skin if you want to survive. And so, how do you survive and elevate yourself from the competition?
The answer: Company Curation
In the book Small is Big, Ann talks about how having a league of Exceptional people around you helped her to achieve sustainable growth.
She called it “growth friends”.
You see, there is no rocket science to this norm. You have to be very careful choosing your friends and influencers you follow especially people who always grandstand in social media telling how great they are and beating their chest out.
In fact, research says that 1 out of 24 people that walk this earth are sociopaths. And talking about sociopaths, they are the people who don’t care about others feelings.
Imagine…they are color blind.
These people know that there is color red in the spectrum. But they just cannot see it. They are not aware that they are hurting other people with their words or actions.
Well, I can’t say more than enough to this topic.
So I’ll let Jim Rohn do the talking…“You are the average of the five people you spend time with.”
Okay, you have an option to support Ann's journey to help people become exceptional by reading her book, there is the cute link to purchase it: http://kickstartyourpurpose.com/
