Lessons from Leche Flan
Allow me to honor my Papa today.
It’s been 2 years since Papa died.
Permit me to share with you one story that gave me lessons.
Syempre, dahil mahilig kumain ang Papa ko, pagkain ang pagu-usapan natin.
Lessons that I learned from Papa while he tried cooking leche flan:
He hasn't cooked this in a long time. But he just tried. He believed in his guts and trusted that somehow, he still knows how to cook it.
After the results came out, he consulted a recipe book. He found the things he forgot to do, but the result is food that is still edible.
I've done that in my life, too.
There were times I just took courage in doing something, like launching my books and podcast.
Then when I was done, that was the time I studied things formally.
The most important thing for me was to ACT.
Kasi, if I will “formalize” things (I need to learn this, I need to buy this, I need to be great at this, yada yada yada), I won’t even start.
School lang ang nagsabing dapat mag-moving up ceremony ka muna bago mo matutunan ang mga bagay-bagay.
So, tama na ang excuses this week, okay?
You’re exceptional,
Ann Kristine
