You're unprofessional.

You're unprofessional

On my very first e-mail I sent two weeks ago entitled “You’re going to die”, I got a reply from you. The sender said, “You have a very unprofessional subject line!”

I wanted to investigate further who the person was. But then one of my friends told me to just forget about it; it’s going to be a waste of time.

Last week, a few minutes after sending my email entitled “You are who you think you are”, one of you sent me this message:

"Your email came at just the right time. Let me just say, THANK YOU.Your words hit so close to home that it made me tear up. But it also made me want to re wire my thinking. Like I always say, to think, is to create. And I want to create more positive things. So thank you, for reminding me this."

It seemed like in just a few weeks, I have irked some and inspired some.

But here’s the thing: I am committing myself to send you emails because I am all about helping people. I know you follow me (or listened to my podcast, or learned about me from my friends, or we are connected on Facebook and LinkedIn) because you want to find out my virtual career journey.

You want to have the same - or even better - journey for yourself. You want to spend more time with your family, earn enough to do the things you want, and maybe become a rockstar or something.

I know how it felt like to be a corporate junkie - waking up early to beat the traffic, eating breakfast and lunch with some people I never really liked, did jobs that gave me recognition and experience but never expanded my wallet, and faced humiliation, rejection, and comparison which were never really turn ons.

Relate ka ba?

I know how it felt like to have work but not enough so I saw my parents in hospital charity wards when they got sick at the same year.

Masakit di ba?

I also know how it felt to brush with death when my thyroid was removed and found out it was stage 1 cancer. Early to middle this year, I experienced premature heart beats; could be an effect of the total removal of my thyroid.

Scary, yes?

This is me. I want to help you because I know that just like any average people in the world, you will not act until something bad happens. Don’t believe me? Read Arianna Huffington’s Thrive.

So if you think that my emails are unprofessional, then screw it. You are one click away from being bothered.

And mind you, I am the type of person who does not only help people. I DEMAND RESULTS. Because at the end of the day, inspiration won’t put food on the table. Results, when done with a plan plus focus and determination, wins the game.

Stay Exceptional,Ann Kristine
