Lessons on a Christmas Party? For real?!
Happy 2018, ! Having an online career doesn’t mean I wasn’t able to attend Christmas Parties. I did attend some. In fact, I attended 2 online parties (c/o Jomar Hilario) and 2 physical parties (well, the first physical party was a senior citizen’s party; I took photos of the event. But that counts.)
But I’m sharing with you the lessons that I learned from the second physical Christmas Party, where all the attendees are virtual professionals like moi:
When you introduce yourself, do not forget your one-sentence pitch. It should include your name, what do you do, and who you’re serving. Hint: Check out my Facebook Page cover photo to know what I’m talking about. ASSIGNMENT: Write your own. NOW.
ALWAYS ALWAYS add a call-to-action after you introduce yourself. Want people to check your website? Tell them. Do you have an e-book? Tell them where to go. Got a YouTube channel? Tell them to subscribe. ASSIGNMENT: Done with your one-sentence introduction? Good. Create a one-sentence call-to-action.
That’s it.Stay Exceptional, Ann Kristine
P.S.: You know when you’re in a virtual professionals Christmas Party when you do a game of charades and somebody shouts, “Add to cart!”
