rANNdom thoughts for you

rANNdom thoughts for you, *|FNAME|*

Hello ,

1. One BIG lesson from the Kerygma Conference 2017: Committed - Dedicate your life time on earth to finding your purpose, align it with your spiritual compass, and do it every single day. Doing so does not mean there won’t be challenges; they are along the way! But if you cling on to God’s promise, you’re confident to know that every single thing is going to bring you to the best life that you pray for. Amen.

2. The Thanksgiving promo for one of my clients generated only 1 sale. My friend told me this lesson: People buy on Thanksgiving for their WANTS, not NEEDS. Convince your buyers to buy the need now through your story (in my case, as shown in my copywriting and images).

3. Vanity Fair released their holiday issue of Marvel’s Avengers. Yes, every single actor and actress who played roles on the last 10 years of Marvel Cinematic Universe are on their 4 covers, sold separately. I posted about it on Facebook, begging my U.S. or Canada friends to get them for me. I was willing to pay but they’re not available here in the Philippines. My niece from Canada responded; ALL 4 covers are on their way to her, then she’ll send it to me after. And I won’t pay for anything. Lesson: ASK.

4. Now that Marvel’s (sorry, I’m an MCU fan) Thor: Ragnarok’s done, I can officially say this: I didn’t like the movie. I consider myself part of the 7% who didn’t exclaim and say “This is the best Marvel movie yet!” Because it’s meh for me. Here’s the thing: If you don’t like something (or someone), your whole being will tell you (so it’s good to know yourself well). Nevertheless, I have seen people unsubscribe to my list or tell me not-so-nice things. Yet I will continue working on my purpose, just like Marvel will continue to do more movies. Hindi mo babatuhin ang puno kung walang bunga.

5. Last lesson on Marvel for this email (promise): Remember my blog post on angry fans because the Infinity Wars trailer was only shown on big comic conventions? O, naipalabas na last week ‘yung trailer for everyone. In 24 hours nga eh 230 million views; it’s the most viewed trailer in 24 hours according to the records. Matuto kasing maghintay. Sa paghihintay nabubuo ang character ng isang tao.

6. Dengvaxia Scare (sorry, I know this is government/politics topics but there’s a lesson here, too): My brother has a scary theory on this (O, theory ito, ha? It could be true or false - or just like that, or. You decide). His theory is that those medicines could wipe an entire generation of Filipino children. Case in point: There were vaccines given to pregnant women a few decades ago (supposed to make the babies healthy). It turned out that majority of the pregnant women had miscarriages. Lesson: Go back to the basics.

7. I see my employed friends working sssooo hard on their Christmas presentation practices. It’s the time of the year: Christmas parties. I used to be in that bubble, too. I am on a warrior’s mode, making sure that my department would win a few thousand pesos and bragging rights. Makes me wonder now: I was in a competitive mode during the season of giving. How ironic.

8. If you’re one of the people who responded to my “Kumusta?” email last week, I am sending you a BIG virtual hug. It’s one of the most replied emails of mine. The best thing about it was that you told me a piece of your life: what state you’re in. Everyone’s all good, and that’s a blessing!

Stay Exceptional,

Ann Kristine
