SPOILER ALERT: Stand out or get out.
SPOILER ALERT: Stand out or get out.
Hello, .If you’re following my Facebook Page (which is officially named Ann Kristine Exceptional), you know that I wasn’t able to watch Thor: Ragnarok on its first day.
Napanood ko na s’ya noong Sabado! But as I left the theater, I realized that I did not have the words to describe Thor: Ragnarok.
Pero iiwanan ko muna ang movie opinion ko sa cloud. It is still connected to Thor: Ragnarok but hang in there. I am getting into something.
Mark Ruffalo (who plays The Hulk / Bruce Banner) posted on Instagram of a toy made from old tsinelas (or flip flops as he said). Chris Hemsworth (the God of Thunder himself) also have a photo with his own toy made of old flip flops.
We all know that the toys were created by Elmer Pineda. I remembered him from a Jessica Soho feature months ago. He sells toys made from old tsinelas.
Pero wala si Elmer sa Sydney, Australia premiere leg ng Thor: Ragnarok. So sino ang nagbigay ng toys kina Chris at Mark?
Enter reporter Marie Lozano.
I never know the lady personally. I usually see her report entertainment news kung makapanood ako ng TV (which is super rare).
What she recently did caught my attention.
Hahaha!)
Part ng marketing tactic ng bawat pelikula ang magkaroon ng press conference (reporters and movie stars plus director are in the same room where you, the reporter, need to raise your hand if you have a question) at media interviews (a reporter gets a one-on-one chance - usually 20 to 30 minutes - to ask questions to the movie star).
A press conference may last for an hour. Pero alam n’yo ba kung gaano katagal ang media interviews? Umaabot ‘yan ng 12 hours! Exhausting for the movie stars, yes?
Yet, it is challenging to reporters.
How do you STAND OUT from the many reporters who would probably be asking the same questions to the movie stars?
What did Marie Lozano do? She brought the toys that Elmer created and presented it to Chris and Mark on her separate interviews with the two. Here’s the video of how she delivered the toys.
Do you know what’s the plus there? Mark Ruffalo is a fierce environment advocate. The toy would stick into Mark's mind, yes?
Marie Lozano did an exceptional job.
Lesson: Stand out or get out.
Stay Exceptional,
Ann Kristine
P.S.: So here’s my take on the movie: it’s good but the comedy’s too many to focus on the story. Ikaw, napanood mo na ba? Ano’ng masasabi mo?
