You don't want to miss Voltes V because...
Hi ,I no longer watch TV. Pero last week (my birthday week! more on this later), umupo ako sa harap ng TV every 8:00 pm to watch Voltes V Legacy. At sabi nga ni joyful friend Joy Collado:
I am a Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) fan. So sanay ang mata ko sa Hollywood computer-generated imagery (CGI) excellence. What I saw was a show that has clean and smooth CGI. Worthy of a wow from people who are used to the movies of the West.Day 1 started in the middle of the action. Then focused on the back story until Day 5.I didn't read social media comments, but from what I sensed, nobody said, "Pwede na."Alam n'yo ba kung bakit ang galing ng Voltes V Legacy?I met one of my good friends last week. On our way to lunch, I told her that I was watching Voltes V Legacy. I told her that the first week is impressive. And the CGI is MCU level. She almost cried. She said, "You may find it funny na naiiyak ako. Hindi ako part ng production. Pero my cousin is. They have poured their hard work even before the pandemic began. My cousin wasn't able to get other jobs during the pandemic because of that show. And every time they would send reels to the Japanese partner, they would get rejections.I-revise daw ang edits. Hindi approved.Kaya kapag nakakakita sila ng "This is great. Approved." na feedback, umiiyak talaga sila.Your comment will mean a lot to my cousin."No wonder! The Voltes V Legacy Philippine team is supervised by the Japanese company (Toei Company).Ibig sabihin, accountable ang Philippine team sa Japanese partner nila. The production team may have stretched on their wits to make sure that everything will be approved. Or else, pangit ang show.Kaya pala ang tagal bago nailabas.
Ikaw, how do you make yourself accountable?
Do you take responsibility for your actions?
Others will even get an accountability partner just to get things done. I have done this many times because I could go anywhere! (Below are some of the people who keep me accountable and sane. Ang dami ko pang gustong i-insert na kaibigan diyan pero ipapa-CGI ko na lang hahaha.)
That's something for you to think about this week.
In the meantime, hindi na ako uupo sa harap ng TV starting this week. I just really checked how will the show go. In fairness, by Friday, one scene-maraming commercials na ang peg. I am not into that anymore.
Birthday week last week!
After two weeks, I slept soundly the night before my birthday.
Nag-undergo kasi ako ng medical tests.
At dahil overthinker ako, ang daaamiii kong nang naisip na possible realities (please refer to Avengers: Infinity War Doctor Strange scene, with timestamp - ok OA na.)
I didn't remember any dream.
Then, my Mama woke me up.
"Happy birthday, anak.I love you.Una akong naging nanay dahil sa iyo."
Birthday ko nga pala.
Hindi ko gusto 'yung lab results, pero may mga biyaya sa nangyari (at mangyayari).
So susulitin ko ang buhay ko kasi nagising ako.
Laban.
You’re exceptional,
